ha!
Now I no longer have to turn around at work to see my bestie!

Long, flat, far.
I just can’t get over how absolutely beautiful the weather has been the last few weeks.
My perfect day would be 65-70 degrees, no humidity, a little breeze. And that’s pretty much what we’ve been getting.
It never usually lasts long. All of a sudden, the humidity spikes and the temp doesn’t drop below 85 until September (if we’re lucky. Sometimes it lasts ‘til October).
But for now…enjoying it tremendously while it does last. And I’m pretty sure we’re being spoiled with an extra long stretch of it this year.
Today I took my car in for inspection. When the guy asked, “are you going to be waiting for it?”
I said, “Heh. Sort of, dude. I’m going for a run. I’ll probably be done before you are.”
And I quite thoroughly enjoyed my long, flat run for the first time. I don’t usually love them. Probably because they’re not normally flat. But today felt so great. Eight miles worth of great at a pretty steady pace.
And to top it off, car came in under the price I was expecting, AND the guy was super nice and grabbed my Pile o’ Stuff out of the car and brought it to me in the waiting room.
All in all, I call that a pretty good morning.
Came up to Gran’s place today to clean as our Mother’s Day gift to her.
As kids, we used to very quietly try to sneak candy from this dish.
Between the shaky glass in the table and the glass lid, it’s almost impossible not to make noise.
Thank goodness we’re adults now and don’t have to hide it anymore.
“Lauren, is that you in the dish?!”
“Yeah. I’m eating chocolate. You wanna fight me?”
Ran the alphabet steps at the WCU Stadium today for the first time in a looooong time. Dad-o also did a few, then walked the track for another mile or two.
Good times.
I think it will now be a part of the weekly training. At least for the summer.
Half Way!
Today was a perfect kind of day. 60 degrees, a little cloudy. It rained early in the morning, and again this evening, but the middle was just gorgeous.
It was long run day. I had 7 miles as the goal. I’ve never run that far before. Not totally sure I exactly hit it, but I was most definitely close. My GPS cut off at 4.5, but the timer kept going. SO FRUSTRATING. But I chose that course because I thought it would be close. So…it’s got to be close.
Felt good minus being a little thirsty. More than half way to 13.1!
